The Time The Minnesota Wild Tried To Trade For Brock Boeser W/ Jason Zucker (NHL Trade News 2019)

Man, hard to believe this was almost a year ago.

Well, back then in May of 2019, the Minnesota Wild were actively shopping forward Jason Zucker to a variety of NHL teams. According to Michael Russo on Minnesota radio, Paul Fenton went around asking the Calgary Flames for Michael Frolik and Sam Bennett, the Arizona Coyotes for Christian Dvorak, the Pittsburgh Penguins for Phil Kessel, the Vegas Golden Knights for Jonathan Marchessault, and the Vancouver Canucks for Brock Boeser.

That last one got Canucks fans riled up and incredibly hostile, as one would imagine.

Eventually though, the Minnesota Wild traded Jason Zucker to the Pittsburgh Penguins in exchange for Alex Galchenyuk, top NHL prospect Calen Addison, and a conditional 1st round pick in the 2020 NHL Entry Draft.
