Columbus Blue Jackets sweep Tampa Bay Lightning | Final Score: 7-3 | End Game Celebration

The Columbus Blue Jackets finish out the sweep of the first-overall seed Tampa Bay Lightning at Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio, on April 16, 2019.

It’s the Blue Jackets first ever playoff series victory and it marks the first time the team that won the Presidents’ Trophy has been swept in the first round of the playoffs. The Jackets advance to round two to face the winner of the Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Boston Bruins.

CBJ scored three empty net goals to finish out the series with a 7-3 victory. Watch above to see the last two empty net goals by Alexandre Texier and Matt Duchene.
